TUESDAY ART DAY- The Color RED

Welcome back Students!!  In our Lesson today, we will start to explore Color Theory.  Color has a huge impact on our emotions, perceptions, spirituality and physical well being.

All colors have a temperature and feelings or physical
attributes associated to it.....Color is Alive!!

Today, the first color I'd like to reference is RED.  It is the warmest of all colors.  It is associated with meanings of love, passion and desire.  Red is the color most chosen by extroverts and is a top pick amongst males. Red is a strong, stimulating, hot color that represents excitement and energy.

Studies shave shown how that the color red can create physical effects such as elevated blood pressure, enhanced metabolism, increased enthusiasm, higher levels of energy, and increased confidence. It is the color of blood and fire and is a highly visible color.  Red grabs your attention quickly, which is one of the reasons why fire trucks and stop signs are painted red. http://www.bourncreative.com/meaning-of-the-color-red

How's that for getting your attention with Color Theory!

The shades of Red can be described as scarlet, burgundy, crimson, ruby, vermilion, maroon, rose, rouge, brick, blood red, blush, fire engine red, russet, and tomato-just to name a few.
