Tuesdays are going to be a day for learning. Since Art is a passion of mine, I've decided to focus a few blog posts with lessons to learn from. I hope you can join my Art class every Tuesday-- so let's begin.
As a high school student, one of my first art classes was about mixing paint colors. The topic of creating colors, mixing and blending them was fascinating to me!
When the Color Wheel and Color Theory were introduced to me, I discovered things I never new existed. I gained a fresh perspective about my environment.
What is the color wheel?
The Color Wheel is a fundamental building block for anyone who is learning about mixing color. Below is a helpful diagram.
The color wheel is made up of
6 main colors:
RED. ORANGE. YELLOW. GREEN. BLUE. VIOLET
Over the course of the next month, I will be discussing each color and its importance. You may notice the color wheel resembles a rainbow too. You can find the color wheel in Nature and in Life.
Start thinking about what your favorite color is. If you don't have one, I'm sure you will after this course. Color is everywhere & it has such an impact on our physical, mental and emotional health.
I hope you will join me next Tuesday as I continue with the Color Wheel and expand upon the PRIMARY, SECONDARY & TERTIARY COLORS.
